I like to play mini golf in evening wear. Why, because the only thing more ridiculous than putting a brightly colored ball into a pink hippo?s mouth is to do it in a cocktail dress ? wearing flip flops of course.

I have a passion for life; it is way too short not to do the things you love. Experience has taught me that each person we meet is in our life for a reason, even if it is just a chance meeting. I value the lessons I learn from each encounter. I am living life on my own terms. I have stopped trying to shape myself to fit the expectations of others.

I held a variety of different jobs and have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity live around the country and parts of Canada. Somehow I always end up back here, and I love it. Most recently I moved back home to help my mother take care of my grandmother after she had a stroke. I absolutely love my family, but miss the space that only distance can provide ;).

I am a massage therapist with my own business. I am always reading about anatomy & physiology and kinesiology because of my fascination (some may say morbid) with the body. One of my favorite books is Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. I love the Mutter Museum and the Coney Island Circus Sideshow. As a lover of body art, I have quite a few (19) tattoos and some piercings, but I clean up very well.

I am an artist at heart and it isn?t unusual to occasionally find me with paint or clay in my hair. A simple girl is what I am, very low maintenance. Sure I like to get all dolled up on occasion (or for a round of mini golf), but for the most part I keep it casual. I have been spending a lot of time at the gym lately. It?s not a vanity thing, I am rebuilding strength lost due to an injury and to stay in good condition for work.

I love a good conversation, and I?m a great listener. Talk with me for hours, share you view of the world with me. I have a hard time thinking of something I value more than the time spent getting to know someone.

My laughter can be contagious - you've been warned! I have a truly symphonic range of laughter, from a giggle to a hearty full body laugh. I am not afraid to laugh loudly, and have on occasion laughed so loudly that only makes me laugh harder. If my cheeks hurt & my sides ache I know it was a good night.

Some more random confessions - James Blunt makes me weak in the knees. Gnarls Barkley will always make me dance. I have broken more kitchen appliances then I can count, and I once set an oven on fire. I take Scrabble way too seriously. I prefer dive bars and quiet pubs to clubs. I pretty much grew up on stage and every once in a while the performer in me comes out. I try to eat organic foods, but I have a weakness for Wawa hot dogs. I hate cats. First annual is one of my biggest pet peeves. I have never gone into a book store and come out empty handed. I have an affinity for Jameson Irish Whiskey and can drink a car bomb in about 8 seconds. As a kid I used to read the encyclopedia for fun, but I probably should have spent more time with the dictionary because I am a horrible speller. I don't like to be late. I become highly annoyed when someone says "whatever", that is like saying I really don't care about what you think or how you feel.

I am looking for someone who has a great smile and a zest for life, someone who understands that the foundation of a great relationship is friendship. I am interested in meeting someone who doesn?t mind if we get dirty and will find a smudge of mud on my face adorable. He will hold me because he loves the way I feel in his arms and kisses me like he means it. He will reach for my hand as we walk and read to me simply because I love to be read to.

I want to spend time with someone I can feel safe and comfortable with, someone who accepts me for me. That acceptance and understanding goes both ways. Honesty and integrity are extremely important to me, and should be equally important to you.
