I'm originally from California, by way of Portland. I am an anomaly. I love being alone as well as around a group of friends. I appreciate both and am really more of an extrovert. I guess it's all about extremes. I can spend days on end traveling, never wanting to go home, and likewise enjoy sleeping in every now and again.

I like to ride, motorcycles, and bicycles. Just saying I RIDE, and have been doing so seriously for over 30 years. If you like bikes we're golden. Like can mean anything from admire from a distance to have a burning desire to join in. I workout and ride, (cycling) several hours a week. While I may not have a great deal of free time I have time and a place for a special someone.

I'm interested in someone who LOVES. Family, friends, fun, and the world around them. One who has a sunny disposition, we all have down days, where I just don't want to crawl out of bed. But I'm a person who believes that the world is full of hope and promise. Call it a Pollyanna attitude but I just feel that way deep in my soul.

I put my best foot forward, most times it's a success and great results flow from it. Once in a while I fall flat on my face and fail. I take a minute, pull myself up by the boot straps and carry on. Of course later I'll tell the story of the great catastrophe to friends over a beer as we all laugh. By the way, if you can't laugh at yourself why make mistakes? I'm open to trying most things at least once. If I like it I'll do it again, if I love it I'll do it again and again. Rodeos (love), Live music from classical to metal (love), Music festivals (love), Sew (love), Dancing (like), riding motorcycles (love), cycling (love), cooking (love), sailing (love), canoeing (like), water sports - salt and fresh (love), and the list goes on.

I'm an easy going guy, who loves to have fun and have new adventures.

Just to be clear:
- I'm old fashion, I like to open doors for anyone, especially ladies. Doesn't mean I don't believe you can't do it yourself. My parents were from the South and raised me to be a gentleman.
- Be respectful with my heart. I'm big, 6'7". I can be a bit intimidating, but don't let it fool you I'm very sensitive, I may not show emotions all the time, but I can get hurt. So, be honest and open with your feelings and wants.
- Be healthy and active, I am and I expect the same. There's a whole world out there to explore, and it's more fun to do it if you don't get tired just getting up. You don't need to be skinny, just fit and healthy. This IS a deal breaker.
- I ride motorcycles and bicycles. I don't expect you to have the same hobbies, but sharing an interest in these will go a long way. The motorcycle is a sport touring bike. I spend time cycling. I'm just being upfront because these are in my life and unlikely to change.
- I really believe in the Golden Rule. I do my best to follow it. Not too tough most of the time, it's well ingrained into my psyche. But every once in a while I faultier, I am only human.
- I love weird, out of the way, hole it the wall places. Needle and Thread, Knee High Stocking, and BathTub Gin (all speakeasys). The Gum wall, Seattle Underground, The Comet, The Lookout, 3-2-1 Battle wrestling at ReBar, and Rodeos (anywhere large or small, love them) I don't frequent any of these places often but I love their feeling.
- Money to me is a means to and end. I value time and connection over material goods.
- I am just a little left of center, slightly loud, and live in the big city and love it. Not a day goes by that something about the city bugs the crap out of me then perhaps moments later I'm amazed and delighted by something else I see.
